Donna Mackay, is a singer/songwriter and one of Hertfordshire's best loved
female acoustic guitarists. All though she is originally from
South Shields in the North East England.
She performs in venues throughout Hertfordshire and London,
creating and building her musical reputation as an alternative
acoustic vocalist.
She has natural musical/vocal abilities, plus a stage presence that cannot be ignored.

Donna Mackay was born in 1974, in South Shields in the North East of England. Aged 29 she now resides in Letchworth - Hertfordshire
She moved from South Shields, Tyne and Wear to study a degree in Performing Arts in 1997 at The University of Hertfordshire. Since that time singer songwriter Donna Mackay has entertained the UK as a solo artist performing her original material and has become one of Hertfordshire's favourite solo acoustic artists.
Donna is currently unsigned and looking for management and a recording/publishing contract. She currently performs 30-45 minute sets of original material at venues and festivals. London Venues include: The Rock Garden, Covent Garden, West One Four, West Kensington, The Sound, Leicester Square. Festivals include 'Rhythms of the World' biggest free music festival, Hitchin Hertfordshire.
Donna Mackay's musical style varies throughout her set. Slow love songs to fast rhythmic acoustic guitar. Vocals can be warm and soft yet strong when the songs demand it. Donna Mackay is a very confident performer that has a presence on stage that cannot be ignored. When she is on stage she demands attention and as the audience listening to her every song you are quite willing to give it. |
