THE female David Gray' is one of the many labels tagged on North Herts singer songwriter Donna Mackay.
And a major record label will this Sunday see for itself whether the rumours are true.

Donna's band Heaven have received confirmation - if there is such a concept in those notoriously fickle music biz circles - that Island Records will be watching their gig at Covent Garden's Rock Garden.

The label is one of a select view to be targeted with Heaven's debut CD featuring three of Donna's songs.

Anyone who wants to rub shoulders with A and R types should get to the Rock Garden for 4.30pm, when Heaven are due on stage.
